| SDek Rail - No bottom rail - Installation of glass support plugs |
Step 1: When you receive your glass support plugs you will note
that one corner is cut to an approx. 45 degree angle. The angle cut must be installed so that it is top side and always facing the back of the grooved
post channel. The square corner should then be facing the glass. |
Step 2: With the plug now in the correct orientation, slide
this component down behind the aluminum filler bar until seated. |
Step 3: You will note that the installed glass support plug is
resting approx. 1/8 of an inch above the aluminum filler bar. This is normal as the glass will rest on the plug and not the filler bar.
Step 4: Install your post glazing tracks. The reason
the plug has the angle cut is so that the back side of the glazing track has enough clearance to allow both components to fit tightly together. If the
glazing track can't mate tight to the aluminum filler bar then the plug is not installed in the correct orientation. |
